As part of the “In Bloom” exhibition, we share new knowledge about edible flowers. Come and make your cooking more flavorful.

The beauty of flowers is nourishing for both the soul and the stomach. Exquisite colorful blossoms add effect, joy, and new taste notes to your food. Flowers are packed with health-beneficial substances – antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals that strengthen the immune system and combat diseases and everyday stress. Flowers are suitable for fresh salads, flavored water or cocktails, appetizers and desserts, and, of course, for decorating all dishes. Nourish your body and soul with beautiful blossoms. Let delicate flowers surprise you.

* The lecture-style workshop lasts 1.5 hours. The participation fee of €10 does not include exhibition visits.

* The workshop will take place if at least 8 participants have registered. Notification of the workshop taking place will be sent no later than 24 hours before the start.

* The workshop will be held in Fotografiska’s backyard. In case of rain, it will be moved indoors.

EXHIBITION "IN BLOOM"

Nature is a mystery. Strong and sublime, yet fragile and fleeting. Tamed or wild, trimmed or untouched, influenced and altered by humans. Bright and beautiful, but at the same time dark and threatening. It is a sacred sanctuary from which everything has evolved. In the “In Bloom” exhibition, the awe-inspiring meets the fragile, the beautiful meets the dangerous, and the familiar meets the unknown. Fotografiska is “In Bloom.”

A mix of contemporary photography, video, sculpture, and installations highlights the place of nature in contemporary art. The beauty, abundance, fragility, and diversity of nature are represented by 17 contemporary artists, all of whom have an interest in understanding, discovering, and expressing themselves in this world. Together, they have created an inspiring and conceptual philosophical reflection on the cycle of life and death and the transience of time. Among the renowned international artists is the acclaimed Estonian artist Heikki Leis.
