Artist Talk and Film Night with Anna Hints:„Savvusanna sõsarad” & „Sannapäiv”

22nd of October kl 19

Kaader

Exhibition „NUDE”

Autumn at Fotografiska begins with a powerful start – on September 13th, the exhibition 'NUDE' opens its doors, showcasing the work of 32 female artists exploring the theme of the nude body. Among them are Estonian artistst Cloe Jancis and Marlen Kärema.

Through various creative approaches, the exhibition breaks away from traditional depictions of the nude body, presenting it in all its shameless honesty and glory, with contemporary freshness and freedom from constraints, all seen through the female gaze. The result is an environment where expected roles no longer apply, habitual perspectives shift, and power hierarchies are overturned.

Artist Talk and Film Night with Anna Hints

Inspired by the exhibition, an Artist Talk with Anna Hints will take place at Fotografiska on October 22. The discussion will cover her works, body image in the film industry, the portrayal of stereotypes and minorities on screen, and other fascinating topics.

Following the conversation, special screenings of Anna Hints’ films Sannapäiv (14 min) and Savvusanna Sõsarad (1h 29min) will be held, with the former being screened in Tallinn for the first time.

The conversation will be led by Fotografiska’s brilliant and insightful guide, Elo Aun.

„Savvusanna sõsarad”

Kaasaegne portreefilm naistest, kes suitsusauna kaitsvas pimeduses kokku tulevad, oma sügavamaid saladusi jagavad ning kehasse kogunenud häbi ja valu maha pesevad.
