Neeme Raud special tour at Shepard Fairey exhibition

12th of January 16–17

Shepard Fairey

The solo exhibition "Photo Synthesis" by the icon of street art, Shepard Fairey, has brought socially critical and provocative artistic creations to Fotografiska, fearlessly tapping into the nerve of the times. The artist’s captivating world is endless and multi-layered, as are the techniques behind his art – a distinctive and powerful form of photography conveyed through a variety of techniques and mediums, accompanied by politically charged, symbol-rich artistry.

On January 12 at 4 PM, a special tour will take place in Shepard Fairey’s exhibition hall, led by the renowned and beloved journalist Neeme Raud, whose extensive and nuanced knowledge of the American cultural and political landscape adds even greater depth to Fairey’s art. Come and hear how Neeme Raud interprets the work of one of today’s most sought-after street artists, and what messages, thoughts, and goals Fairey’s art carries in today’s world.

Shepard Fairey: "Photo Synthesis"

Shepard Fairey is one of the most well-known and provocative street artists, with over 135 murals worldwide. He broke through during the 2008 U.S. presidential campaign with the iconic Barack Obama portrait "HOPE" and the explosive rise of the OBEY clothing brand. Now, his artistic creations have arrived at Fotografiska, uniting earlier iconic works with new pieces created specifically for this exhibition, blending into a cohesive and captivating visual experience in "Photo Synthesis."
