Photo tour with Krõõt Tarkmeel: Peter Lindbergh "Lightness of Being"

11th of April 18.30

Peter Lindbergh

"In a time when the viewer was accustomed to very perfect, yet quite artificial magazine covers, Lindbergh emerged and completely redefined the standards of beauty and fashion photography, focusing not only on the model's facade but also on her soul and essence," explained fashion and portrait photographer Krõõt Tarkmeel to ERR, highlighting Lindbergh's exceptionalism as a photographer.

Now there is an opportunity to experience Peter Lindbergh's exhibition "The Lightness of Being" together with top photographer Krõõt Tarkmeel, who will unveil the background of Lindbergh's work and introduce the significance of timeless frames in the history of photography. In addition, on this special tour, you will hear stories shared by Peter's sons Simon and Benjamin. Krõõt will talk about her personal adventure story of almost meeting Peter himself on the other side of the world.

Krõõt has a special connection with Lindbergh: "I still remember when I first stumbled upon Lindbergh's exhibition in Paris and stood face to face with a two-meter tall Kate Moss, tears just streamed down my face because it felt like coming home, realizing that the elements I valued in photography, they overlapped."

* The photo tour will take place in the "The Lightness of Being" exhibition hall in Estonian.

* The ticket price includes visiting other exhibitions at Fotografiska. The museum closes at 8 PM on that day, so it is more convenient to visit the exhibitions before the start of the photo tour.

* If desired, you can also purchase champagne or other preferred drinks from the café.
