Champagne tasting: Peter Lindbergh “Lightness of Being”

A champagne tasting inspired by the work of the world's most influential photographer, Peter Lindbergh, will take place on February 17th. The tasting will be held in the exhibition hall of the "Lightness of Being" exhibition.

Lead of the tasting is Kristjan Kiho, a sommelier and the service manager of Fotografiska Restaurant, whose greatest passion lies in the beverage culture: It takes immense time to make good champagne, only a few minutes to enjoy it, and a lifetime to understand it. There is always a right time to enjoy champagne.

In line with Lindbergh's characteristic style, we have selected authentic and unretouched bubbles from France, where Peter Lindbergh also resided, always returning home after his world travels.

* The ticket price of €37 includes a tasting of three champagnes and access to all Fotografiska exhibitions.

* The tasting is organized in collaboration with Prike between 14:00 and 16:00. Choose a suitable time and expect the tasting to last about half an hour.

* Please arrive by 15:30 at the latest so we can enjoy the drinks.

* In addition, there is a bar open in the exhibition hall from 12:00 to 17:00.

About the Artist:

Peter Lindbergh (1944-2019) changed not only the perception of fashion photography but also how the people in front of his camera were perceived. Lindbergh's work in the 1990s marked the beginning of an era that still resonates today - it was a time of supermodels and a certain timeless quality when femininity and masculinity intertwined, often in a white shirt. He didn't want over-glamorized images and emphasized the importance of highlighting a woman's independence, confidence, and natural beauty.

Over the decades, he captured countless fashion and magazine covers, and many credit Lindbergh's photos as the starting point for the careers of supermodels like Linda Evangelista, Naomi Campbell, Cindy Crawford, and Christy Turlington.
