Chamber music 2025

15.–16.08

Kammermuusika

This August 15th and 16th, the fourth annual Chamber Music Festival will take place at Fotografiska Tallinn. The contemporary photo museum offers a welcoming, modern atmosphere that perfectly aligns with the festival’s vision—to recreate the intimate and inspiring setting reminiscent of the Schubertiades held a couple of centuries ago. These were cozy gatherings in private homes where composer Franz Schubert’s works were performed among friends and acquaintances.

This year, the festival will spotlight chamber music featuring the piano. Performers include pianists Sten Heinoja, Karolina Aavik, Viola Asoskova, Talvi Hunt, and Kärt Ruubel. Joining them on stage are violinists Hans Christian Aavik and Triinu Piirsalu, violist Xandi van Dijk, cellist Theodor Sink, and narrator Laura Võigemast. Young chamber musicians from the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre—violinist Triin Veissmann, violist Oliver Vilu, and cellist Andres Alexander Metspalu—will also take part.
